We are to be people of Christ’s inheritance in the earth. God is calling for a multi-generational people that reveal His glory in things that are both old and new. The foundation of the church is built upon the prophets and the apostles. The ceiling of the Old Covenant was established upon the prophets of the tribes of Israel, but the foundation of the New Covenant was established upon the sending authority of the apostles of the Lamb. The church, the Israel of God, is established as the place of Christ’s calling, inheritance, and power in the earth to reveal the fullness of the testimony of God in the family name. We are not just seekers of God, we are inheritors of His testimony and glory in the earth. He is the source of our identity, our testimony, and our destiny in all things. We have the responsibility of scribes in the kingdom of heaven. We must draw from our treasure things new and old to establish the name of Christ above all things in the earth.
Matthew 13:52 Then He said to them, “Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
Here is some of a prophecy that I gave July 8, 2011:
The Lord says He’s seeking for a Jacob generation that He might turn the Jacob generation into the “inheriting ones”. “And even now, there’s a transition”, says God, “in My Body – and those who have sought to seek and find Me are going to discover that I’m the One Who seeks to find them. And in the place of wrestling, there’s a breakthrough.” For God says, “I’m bringing forth My ‘inheriting one’. I’m bringing forth My Israel. I’m bringing forth My Prince with God. There was a time and there was a season when I sought for those who would be a Jacob generation, but hear the Word of the Lord! Hear the Word of the Lord! Hear the Word of the Lord! This is the day for Me to lay hold of you! This is not the day for you to lay hold of Me! This is the day for Me to lay hold of you – and in Me laying hold of you, it’s time for you to endure! It’s time for you to hold on, and it’s in that place of wrestling that there’s going to come an inheritance – there’s going to come an inheritance!”
There’s a shift in the Spirit. Don’t seek the thing that was before. Seek that which is beyond that which was before. Seek that which is the increase. Seek that which is the ‘more’. For this is not a time to break away. This is a time to stand fast and say, ‘Our God has come! He has laid hold of us and we will not let go of that which He has laid hold of!’”
If you have been experiencing what you thought was a wrestle with yourself, someone else, your circumstance, or some other thing – God wants you to let Him take hold of you. He is wrestling with you that you may become an inheritor of His name. He wants you to become an inheritor of His grace. The substance of this prophecy is found in Isaiah, Chapter 32. The Prophet Isaiah was prophesying of the day of the born-again sons of God.
Isaiah 32:1-8 “Behold a King will reign righteously, and princes will rule justly. Each will be like a refuge from the wind and a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry country, like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land. Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen. The mind of the hasty will discern truth, and the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak clearly. No longer will the fool be called noble, or the rogue be spoken of as generous. For a fool speaks nonsense, and his heart inclines toward wickedness: to practice ungodliness and to speak error against the Lord. To keep the hungry person unsatisfied and to withhold drink from the thirsty. As for a rogue, his weapons are evil; he devises wicked schemes to destroy the afflicted with slander, even though the needy one speaks what is right. But the noble man devises noble plans; and by noble plans he stands.” (NAS)
Those who know they are nobility also know that they were born for such a time as this. We are overcoming for the sake of others. We are breaking through that we might make plans that bring life to our world. We are princes, inheritors of God, that we might bring life to a dry country and shade to a parched and weary generation. We live for the well-being of others and our plans are for the wellbeing of our day and our time as scribes in the kingdom of God.
