It Begins With Beliefs

NEW!   Audio Version of Blog –

    Greetings,

We are navigating a path of increasing glory in the inheritance of Christ among men. As leaders we cannot not just lead, we must be fathers and mothers in the faith. A family is a place of love and a place of establishing beliefs that are created by God’s love in our hearts for the sake of our children and our children’s children in the path of destiny. If beliefs can be changed in a generation it will influence the actions of the generation that follows. When the actions of a generation change it will influence the imagination of the successive generation. When the imaginations of a generation change, the influence of the next generation is more than was in the past. This is the way of a one-hundred-year plan. This is the covenant that was given to Abraham as the father of faith. God’s covenant to Abraham was not a covenant of blessing, it was a covenant of inheritance. It was a covenant from God the Father in heaven to Abraham the father of faith in the earth. Faith comes by hearing God and faith works through love. A revelation of the love of our Father in heaven will give us beliefs established by God’s love in the earth. The covenant received by Abraham was received by faith and it was one of believing God. Believing God will change the beliefs of our hearts. It will give us the heart of a father to the children and the children’s children beyond our own time.

Romans 4:3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

Believing God is a work of the Spirit of God upon our hearts. It is miraculous. It is not a reasoning of the mind. It is a miracle of the heart. What we believe in our hearts will determine the works of our lives. The actions we make are the fruit of the beliefs of our hearts. How we act determines what we think about. What we think upon determines the extent of our imaginations for tomorrow. What we imagine becomes the influence of our lives.

Galatians 3:5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Abraham’s faith did not give him the faith of a servant of God. It gave him the faith of a son of God. It gave him the faith of knowing God was his friend and he was a friend of God. The influence of the nations started with the believing of one man in his heart. He didn’t merely believe an all-powerful God, he believed a loving Father. Those who believe God are not servants of the faith of Abraham. They are sons of Abraham because they have discovered the same source of faith. Their hearts are changed by a loving Father for the sake of the generations that follow them. They do not merely live to change the world; they live to see their family grow in influencing the world. By this the world is changed.

What we believe in our hearts will become a foundation for the actions of the generation that follows us. The actions of those that follow us will determine the foundation of the imagination of the third generation. The imagination of a third generation will determine the influences in the earth that become part of the permanent path of destiny in the family inheritance. This is a one-hundred-year plan.

Our path in life is not merely connected to the beliefs of the past. It is connected to believing the eternal Father of all men. The Father of our fathers has to also be the Father of our own faith in life. By this we can be assured that the faith of the present will not be disconnected from the principles, patterns, and values of the past. It will not be bound to the limited understanding of the past. It will be liberated to think even more in the life-growing glory of the past, but the principles, patterns, and values of our Father’s heart will remain the same in their foundation. If the walls of the house and the rooms of the house are not built upon the same principles, values, and patterns as the foundation of the house we must question w hose house it is. We are building a place of God’s habitation among men, not merely the house of man that God can visit. We are the growing place of God’s presence among the generations of mankind.

Food For Thought,

Ted J. Hanson
