The Mountain of Christ

Blog In Audio Form:

    Greetings,

God is reconfirming the foundations of our lives. Those foundations are set in the rock of Christ. They are the unshakeable stones of life. They are life-giving and grow in the generations of Christ-centered destiny.

Foundations are made of stones. What are the stones in the foundation of your life? Are they life-giving stones? or, Are they stones of death? Stones of death create tomb stones or monuments. Life-giving stones create a growing mountain of declaring God is great, God is good, and His mercy endures forever! The house of God is made of life-giving stones. We are being built up as a spiritual house of God’s presence. We are priests before God bringing the influence of heaven into the world in which we live. As leaders, we set an example as priests to the priesthood of believers in being a house of God’s presence.

1 Peter 2:4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”

Jesus is the foundation stone of our lives and of the corporate testimony of the church. We are a testimony of a multigenerational destiny in Christ for the increasing glory of His name. The house of God is an increasing mountain of influence in our lives and in the earth by our lives together in Christ. The prophet Isaiah foretold of this day and we are living in the increasing reality of the mountain of God rising in the earth.

Isaiah 2:2-3  Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.  Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

No mountain is made one stone. No mountain is made of one material. Every mountain is made of many stones. Those stones are made of different minerals and materials with different qualities and characteristics. When they are joined together, they make a mountain. The mountain of God is filled with a diversity of material, but each stone has something of the unique life-giving character of God. The Old Covenant was given upon a mountain and the Torah (Law) / Tabernacle (Temple) system revealed was one of a knowledge of good and a knowledge of evil. It was a mountain that measured men according to their failures. It was not a mountain that could transform men’s hearts and minds.  It could only inform them of their short-comings and failures. It was a mountain of condemnation and death. Each stone in that mountain was a stone of judgment. The truth was written down as something that could be remembered and people could be bound to it, but it was not a truth that one could become. True liberty only comes by the transforming grace of God working in our lives. Jesus came to give us a different mountain than the mountain of law and judgment. He came to cause us to become a mountain of grace and truth! As leaders in the body of Christ, this is the mountain for which we must lead.

Isaiah 2:3 Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

The mountain of God is realized by the teaching of God’s ways in our hearts. When we receive a revelation of God’s ways within our hearts our beliefs are changed by the power of God’s grace working in our lives. We become transformed by God’s Word and Spirit within. God teaches us His ways through the power of inner transformation; the reality of a life-giving revelation that writes God’s law of love upon our hearts and minds. When our ways change, our actions change. The actions of our lives are the testimony of our path in life. Our actions should be the actions of the body of Christ. They are the actions of Christ that destroy the works of the devil because they are the life-giving works of Christ. Our hearts are the place of our imagination and our imagination is the creative power of God’s love. Like Zion, God’s presence and word becomes a seven day per week, twenty-four-hour per day empowerment to the imagination of our hearts. Our imagination will lead to the influence of our lives and the influence of our lives is determined by a vision of peace, a vision of our lives being one with Christ in heaven as we increasingly become the community of God in the earth. We become expressions of God’s word in some way as a testimony of those who have a vision of peace, an increasing reality of being the community of Christ in the earth. This is the Jerusalem from above, the mother of us all in Christ. As leaders, we must lead for this purpose and this cause.
