The Helper in the House

     Greetings,

In the Father’s house there are many rooms, but every room in the Father’s house is filled with the attributes, the atmosphere, and the ambiance of the Father’s house. We don’t know how long our journey is life or the conditions we will encounter along the way, but every room in the Father’s house is filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Helper promised by Jesus to us all.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Jesus was speaking to His twelve disciples, but these same words are true for us today. We have One greater than the disciples had already. Jesus was with His disciples, but now He is in us and with us. The Helper is the Holy Spirit and He is with us and in us. He slept in our bed with us last night. He fills the gap between all that is heavenly and all that is earthly in our lives. He has a foot in heaven and a foot in us. He is drawing the things of heaven into our lives. There is a Helper with us and in us. We experience the helper in the room of the Father’s house. We experience the Father by the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We have the spirit of family, the family of God. He doesn’t just care for us as something or someone He created. He cares for us as children of God.

John 14:18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

We experience the presence of Jesus in every room of the Father’s house. God is always with us. He has come and He continually comes to us. If we ask when He is coming into our lives, we are asking an illegitimate question. He is always in our lives and He never leaves us. We need to pay more attention to His presence in our lives and expect Him at every moment. The Holy Spirit is the indwelling presence of the Father and the Son in our lives.  come is an illegitimate question.

John. 14:19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

We experience the presence of Jesus and the presence of the Father in the room of our lives. We see Jesus and we experience the testimony of His presence in our lives. If we are not experiencing Him in the rooms of our house, we need a revelation of our lives as a room in the Father’s house. We abide in Him. We experience His manifest presence. These are testimonies of the Father’s house. We must be hungry, willing, and teachable to experience the fullness the Helper in the Father’s house. The Holy Spirit is ready to teach us all things, but we must be willing to be taught to reap the benefits of His willingness in our lives.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Every room in the Father’s house is filled with a knowing that there is not gap between us and God. We experience the peace of God and we know His love. His love casts out all fear and peace rules the atmosphere of every space in the room.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

We all need to make God’s presence most important. An awareness that there is never a moment or a time in our lives where God is not in and with us will inspire us to be a place of Christ’s abiding. It doesn’t matter what comes our way in our journey of life. The Helper is greater than any trouble in our lives. The love of God will fill every minute and every measure of every day. We can count on the testimony of His love in all things.
