Life-Giving Works

  Greetings,

As leaders, we must lead others in being a part of the Father’s house. We are not called to just do Christian things in the name of Jesus. We are called to lead others in becoming expressions of Him in various rooms of our Father’s house. Each one is to be a part in the calling of Christ, a contributor to the inheritance of Christ, and a testimony of the power of Christ at work in their lives. It is not our calling, our inheritance, or our power. We are part of His calling, His inheritance, and His power in the nations of the world. We live for the glory of God’s kingdom to glorify our Father in heaven.

John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

In the Father’s house we find that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Holy Spirit is present in the rooms of the Father’s house and each of us must discover our path or our course of life in the boundary and measure of time given to us. Our expression in life is a testimony of being alive and giving life to others because of the name of Jesus. This is a confirmation that we are living in the right room and in the right house in life.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Today is today, tomorrow is tomorrow, next year is next year, and ten years from now is ten years from now. How are we going to get from today into tomorrow? How are we going to get from this year into next year? Do we know that Jesus is the way? He is the way into tomorrow. If we don’t know that Jesus is the way we can be in for a real surprise when circumstances of our lives change. If Jesus is the way of our lives we will find Him in any and every circumstance of our lives. If we don’t know He is the way, we could shift from rejoicing into complaining by a simple change of circumstance in our lives. No matter what the circumstances of our lives might be, Jesus is the way into tomorrow. If we don’t know that Jesus is the way, we can shift from possibility in our lives to thinking limitations. There is no end to the increase of His government or His peace in our lives. There are no limitations to what He can and will do in our lives. He is not just the way to somewhere, He is the way of our lives and the testimony of this is truth and life.

If we can answer all the questions in our spheres and boundaries of life we have probably not found our room in the Father’s house. He is beyond our understanding. The older I am in Jesus the less I know about judgment, forgiveness, mercy, love, and other measures of the goodness of God. What I thought I had figured out is often defied by the goodness and the kindness of God. I do know He is good and He loves me, but I really don’t know how good or how much he loves me. If we think we know more, we had best open the door and let Him in. He is the truth and He is bigger and better than any truth we think we can know without Him. He constantly leads us forward to life.

Jesus is the way to becoming a part of the Father’s house. To know that God is our Father is the most important thing to know in life. We each have a Father in the Father’s house and He loves us.

John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Is our boundary and sphere in life a place in the Father’s house? If so, the works of Jesus will be evident. What were the works that Jesus did? The works of Jesus destroy the works of the devil. The works of our lives should destroy the works of the devil. How do we do that? We must be more focused on the works of Jesus than upon the works of the devil. Light destroys darkness, it doesn’t seek to simply reveal it as darkness. Life destroys death, it doesn’t merely seek to identify things of death. Jesus walked this earth doing the works of the Father. I don’t believe He sought to understand or to expose the works of the devil. I believe He simply lived His life doing the works of the Father. He went forward loving with action. I don’t believe He sought to discover the works of the devil. I believe His time and measure of life will filled with simply giving life wherever He was. He went forward giving, freeing, reconciling and healing with action.

In a room in the Father’s house it is right to forgive. It is right to reconcile. It is right to give life. In a room in the Father’s house it is right show mercy. The works of Jesus empower others to be free. Our works should never demand our own way. In a room in the Father’s house to be unforgiving is not just. To demand to be right and refuse to show mercy is not an attribute found in a room in the Father’s house. It is not right to demand our will, but to do the Father’s will. We are rooms in the Father’s house and thus our works will always bring life to the world. We are not here to condemn the world, but to bring the life of the kingdom of heaven to the world we walk in. Our influence in life is to be one of life. We will demonstrate what it looks like to know Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. The testimony will be life in and from the boundary and measure of time given to us in life. We are a room in the Father’s house.
